STUCCO does O-day!
New subjects, new stationary, new textbooks and new tutorial crushes… What’s not to love about a new Semester at University?
To welcome the fresh start of Semester 2, STUCCO joined in the Orientation Day fun on July 25th, with a gorgeous stall to spread our vision and welcome potential new members.
We chatted with lots of interesting people and invited them to come along to our Meetings to get a better idea of how STUCCO runs, or check out our Facebook page to join fun upcoming events such as Yoga and Life Drawing!
Thanks to everyone who came and said “Hey” to our stall, we hope to see you again at upcoming meetings and events!

What Sustains a Stuccling?
It might surprise you that many stuccwits survive on a diet beyond ramen and goon. While these staple foods do comprise much of the student dietary pyramid, there is also a budding foodie scene evolving inside the many kitchens of STUCCO.
Enter SUPPER CLUB
Supper club is built on the foundations that people love to eat, and food is better shared.
Joining the club is not compulsory for living in STUCCO, but those who do get involved are rewarded with great food and good company.
The concept of supper club is that you cook once a fortnight and are cooked for by others for 9 other nights in the fortnight. Usually we cook in pairs, and spend up to $20 each on groceries for dinner (up to $40 between the pair). This mean $2 meals, only 1 night per fortnight of cooking, and a chance to socialise and engage in the Stucco Community!
With meals such as vegetarian bánh mì, hand-made Chinese dumplings, savory crepes, sushi rolls, Mediterranean salad plates and cheese platters it’s hard to resist the SC appeal. Throw in the chance of desserts from decadent chocolate brownies to moist banana cake and it’s only a matter of time before STUCCO releases a recipe collection…
